Craft Project
This project was a fun way to incorporate thankfulness and gratitude into an art lesson. For this lesson, we started with a blank background that we wrote what we were most thankful for on. After this, we drew a picture to represent what we were most thankful for. I drew my family and my little cousin who is like a brother to me. I am so grateful for my family and all that they do for me. After this, we outlined the body of our turkey onto our paper. When we were done outlining, we cut long yellow strips and folded them. Then we glued them around our outline. We did this again with orange to make orange feathers and also red. On two red feathers we wrote two more things we were thankful for. I chose to put my friends and my job. Then, we glued the body down on top of the feathers. After this, we added finishing touches like eyes, a beak, feet, and a snood. This was a wonderful Thanksgiving activity. This could be incorporated into a history lesson about the first Thanksgiving. Additio...
