Footprint Introduction

The Footprint Introduction activity is a simple and fun craft for all ages to create. The first step of this activity for a student is to brainstorm different pictures or logos that represent that student. After this, the student will take constuction paper and cut out the shape of their foot. After this step, the students get their own creative reign. Student will utilize the logos and pictures that they brainstormed to create their introduction footprint. After students have finished their footprint, they will be able to present them to the class, introducing themselves to their peers. This activity could be integrated into math. An extension activity for this could that students take measurements of their footprints, find the dimensions, and then caculate the area and perimeter of the shape.
