This project was an intersting and simple way to celebrate Dot Day. On this day, we read the book, "The Dot" by Peter Reynolds and then used sharpies, water-color paint, crayons, oil pastels, and washable markers to create our dots. During this assignment, we discussed what objects would blend together when water was added and which would not blend. This project could be integrated into a science lesson. Students would discuss water soluable solutions and non-soluable solutions while creating beautiful dot art.
